Finally got to rewatch Suzume vs Miu again and it's even better the second time. There is zero wasted movement and so little "setting up" spots. For every crazy nonhuman move they pulled off nothing felt scripted. There is a forward momentum bell to bell. #tjpw

I figured I would start getting a little sick of wrestling after the new year's rush slowed down but I haven't been this jazzed up in years. I think it's just a lot of the companies I follow are going through shake ups and primed for very good years.

There are limits financially, tech, socially to what people can do but I'm trying more and more to avoid anything that I don't control the plug of. It fucking awful that your crackpot libertarian uncle is right for entirety wrong reasons. $5.99 subscriptions for thoughts. +$1.50 for punctuation.

This sums up why I think Ren is going to grow into an awesome #TJPW wrestler. In the opener she has her usual knit sheep but later in the show she changed it out for the silly horse racing match. It's such a small detail for a rookie to be thinking about.

Listening to @easternlariat.bsky.social talk about where Tanahashi lands in the list of Japanese greats. The two names I keep coming back to are Misawa & Mutoh. Inoki, Baba, Rikidozan are so tied to the cultural foundation but once we clear that bar there are few names that long term can compare.
