3 years after terrible loss (two -80C freezers and all back-ups) of almost all of our collection of regular and mutant human, Drosophila, E. Coli and Plasmodium cells, we are still not finished with insurance.

Ok after @cryoclem.bsky.social we also tried Archaeal ribosomes (and some proteasomes) with RAPPL (www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...) as well as some specific translation cycle complexes with new method.

After RAPPL (www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...) we found another way to get ribosomes and other macromolecular complexes easier to the cryoEM grids. This time besides ribosomes p97 complexes were purified (back to the PhD times). Stayed tuned...
