I love being surprised by incredibly fun games that were initially dismissed.
Ribbit King

This game surprised me a lot. It's loosely based on golf, but is about getting frogs to jump though loads of obstacles. Lots of level gimmicks and jut an immense amount of charm. Highly enjoyable.

Kirby Air Ride

A incredibly fun racing game with unique controls. It has a regular race, top down race and city trial, where you have to upgrade your vehicle for an unknown challenge. Brilliant.

Started building a LEGO Delorean. Already feels much nicer than the original one I had, and it's cheaper than that was, too.

More well made but affordable sets like this please, LEGO.

Teal'c is charged with murder for actions he did under Apophis. He accepts his punishment but SG-1 try to change everyone's mind.

It's a good look at that kind of stuff Teal'c did before the show.

Finished Metroid Prime 4. Brilliant game. Some beautiful levels and the item hunt was great. Not quite as well rounded as the first Metroid Prime, but easily a close second.

My dad bought my son a Yoto Player for Christmas (along with a set of carts with a bunch of his favourite books)

It seems like a great device for a toddler, especially to calm him down when he's going crazy. The Julia Donaldson stories also have a "read along with the book" version too.
