We recently supported a #CitizenScience activity in Fethiye as part of the #DiverSea project.

Our partner #AkdenizKorumaDerneği worked with local volunteers to collect phytoplankton samples, measure water clarity, and gather coastal environmental data.

✨ Exciting work out now in PNAS from DiverSea coordinator Glenn Dunshea and colleagues.

The analysis methods developed here in tropical soils are broadly applicable for integrating #eDNA datasets with other survey data & appraising eDNA classification performance, including in #marine research.

The DiverSea #Hrimfare expedition is almost two weeks in and going strong.

From crystal clear Kosterfjorden, to Tjärnö Marine Lab, Svinesund Bridge, and Idefjord with its darker waters, the team is making great progress and collecting valuable data.

And they're off! Follow along with the DiverSea expedition team on their five-week voyage from Smögen, Sweden, to Trondheim, Norway. They will use cutting edge tech to monitor marine biodiversity & changes in coastal water color, an indicator of ecological shifts.
