16 January 1893: DAMAGE TO A CULLEN FISHING BOAT During a severe gale from the north-west this forenoon, the fishing boat Strathhaven, Cullen, (Gardner, skipper) went ashore at the back of the west pier to the entrance of the Macduff harbour.

13 January 1862: SHOOTING MATCH There was a Shooting Match held today on the Links at Cullen, open to all-comers, Volunteers and non-Volunteers. Distance, 100 yards. The prizes were 14s, 28s and 50s cash.
