I like this observation by JMS. Sometimes the shows with a nice balance of different tones make the best shows.
Exactly. You can't keep hitting the same note, the same motif, over and over; it becomes monotonous and loses impact. If everything is action, nothing is action; if everything is funny, nothing is funny; if everything is sad, nothing is sad. You need the ups and downs for the story to work.
Sometimes a series just needs a fun episode to breath.

I was trying to re-upload a slightly tweaked version of episode #180, our review of #NightmareBeforeChristmas, and due to issues with my computer, I apparently uploaded an unfinished 13-second export of the episode. I am working to correct the issue.

I hope everyone had an excellent Christmas. I (Todd) was listening to our review of #IronMan3 (#179) in the car today & heard a mistake in the outro (not Joanna’s fault; I had a typo in her script). I re-uploaded the audio with a fix for that & improved (I hope) the audio quality some too…

...I would rank the end of #SupermanAndLois with other great series finales, like the ones for #Babylon5 (still the best), #Eureka, #StarTrekDeepSpaceNine, #StargateUniverse, #StargateSG1, #TheGoodPlace, #WandaVision, and #TheWestWing. No spoilers, but I loved the techniques used for closure.

The series finale of #SupermanAndLois was excellent. It was action-packed at first but left plenty of time for being nostalgic, emotional, and wrapping story *all* the way up. A beautiful end to such a classy, sophisticated show. A top 10, maybe top 5, series finale (Todd's opinion anyway).
The first two episodes of #StarWars #SkeletonCrew are cute, upbeat, intriguing, and well made. The kid actors are great, and the production quality is amazing. The pacing seems a little slow. While technically a lot happens in the first two episodes, it doesn't feel like it. What did you think?
