#FamilyHistory + #LocalHistory = #OnePlaceStudies
Well #OPSConf2024 was brilliant! Informative talks giving people lots of ideas for #FamilyHistory / #LocalHistory / #OnePlaceStudy research, networking, and connection-making. Plus lots of good-natured chat, with many helpful resources shared. Provisional date next year's conference is 22 Nov 2025.

@sharrow.bsky.social Hi Janet! I believe a while ago you asked me to create a feed of mother and baby homes content you could follow.

Here it is: bsky.app/profile/did:...

If someone tags a post with # MotherandBabyHomes, it will show up here. ⬇️

This is a little gem of a guide
This is a really handy guide - along with everything else the MRC holds on their website

@mrcwarwick.bsky.social was one of my first #ArchivesOfTheWeek over on the other place - something I will resurrect on @bsky.app

Watch out for this feature from @fhsofcheshire.bsky.social starting on Monday
If someone earned 50 shillings a week 100 years ago, was that... good or bad?

Our handy guide 'What could you buy with a working class wage?', c.1900s-1920s, may be able to help!
