Politicians banning social media for children because they don’t have any power to:

• regulate companies & set standards (but what about laws?)

• provide information to families thru media (but what about BBC and libraries?)

• educate children and model good behaviour (but what about schools?)

Europas och Sveriges kärnvärden är de rättsstatliga och humana. Nu utmanas de av farliga krafter. Vi måste alla motarbeta dem och värna vår liberala demokrati.

Have been writing the chronicles of a The One Ring #ttrpg campaign in Google Doc so the others can comment and correct. The spelling and grammar check cannot be described in any other way than ”AI slop”. There is at least one completely wrong suggestion per three sentences. Unusable & infuriating!

Me: I will use this 12 years old iPad until its battery dies, almost no apps runs on it but I can use its remaining time for TikTok*.
My iPad: Battery health 86,9%, all good.

*) Yes, TikTok is one of the few apps that still runs on it!

Let’s say you write a rules supplement or #ttrpg scenario; how would you distribute it if you don’t want to charge for it but protect it from AI scrapers? In the old days you would put it on a website, but now?

I think you know the answer. The “negotiations” have been an excuse to hold back necessary equipment and aid.
I am a Ukrainian Nobel Peace Prize Laureate. I have a question.

Why has Trump's year of negotiations been the deadliest for civilians in Ukraine since the full-scale invasion? The number of deaths and injuries has increased by 31 percent compared to the previous year.

I never answered the weekly survey at a previous company when the question were either ”is this corp the best possible employer” or ”could you consider to put in some extra effort to have this corp to succeed?” (Yes, actual question!).
I was a consultant and not employee.

This is why Product Management and factory production line metaphors worry me (and I used to run a nail factory so I’ve seen this physically). You end up bending humans around machines and spending money to remove humans completely. That’s not necessarily a model to keep running in 21st Century

Please notice the flag of Sweden, because the regime lashed out at Sweden today. Protesters in Georgia always display flags of partner countries, and especially when they feature prominently in latest events / are targeted by the regime.

Sweden is still, after 1000 years, a monarchy, and the fetish American fantasy authors has for kings has baffled me for ages! They work as figureheads, but competence is not hereditary, despite what any fantasy novel might claim, not even with magic!
A lot of digital ink gets spilled over how romantasy books sometimes glorify abusive relationships, and that can be a fair critique. But anyone who wants to make it should also be ready to talk about how much of classic fantasy, LotR included, is straight up monarchist propaganda.
