There are about 30 starlings at home in the dense shrub a few doors down and I love their loud chirping, tweeting and nattering before they all leave together in the morning (and after they return). Their timings are so precise too.

Thank God it's garden bird survey season! I swear the onslaught of bad and crazy news lately would be unbearable without it. Currently utterly besotted with a lone female chaffinch and the cutest pair of blackcaps. 🥰

Really liked this little book. Such a pretty edition too. We love our old-fashioned German Advent traditions in the family- a lovely old Icelandic story fitted well.

How ironic that I'd be drawn to this..... at the airport. After signing petitions againts lifting the passenger cap too. 🙎‍♀️ Hope there is a chapter on aviation because I really struggle with that one.#cognitivedissonance @thinkorswim.bsky.social

This is appalling from the Irish Times. Anyone who walks or cycles around Dublin city regularly will be only too acutely aware of the risk from drivers accelerating through amber and red lights.

This is not an issue to be joked about.
The Irish Times has published a truly dreadful letter this morning.

Far from adding to the debate, letters like this do only one thing: stoking hostility between road users. It is divisive and antagonistic.

And all this comes in a week when three people cycling have been killed on Irish roads.
