Started reading James S.A. Corey's The Mercy of Gods yesterday and it's been a hoot! Really loving it so far, especially the build-up of tension leading up to Part 2 of the book ✨ I'll have to get around to reading The Expanse at some point as well.

Finished up a black and white commission a couple of days ago and both the client and I are quite pleased with the map. Often I feel like I'm harder to please than the people I work with, but on this occasion I'm thrilled with the final results!

Finally at the shading stage! The linework is done, for now (I'll probably add a bunch of labels later once I've thought of names) so now on to adding some shade to bring some life into it before moving on to the colour stage. Feeling pretty good about this map so far!

I hope everyone has a wonderful new year ✨ Last year was a bit of a mixed bag for me and I didn't get a lot of art done, but at least I finished up my Danish courses with fairly good grades on the final exams. Another thing I'm proud of is reading 43 books in '24 and in 3 different languages!
