A bit about me, I have always been a big guy, but around 2020-2023 it got to the point I ballooned up to almost 500lbs (496.2lbs to be exact), and I tried every diet I could, I lost 17lbs but hit a wall.

Last September I started again at 479.2lbs. This is my own personal #weightloss journey
So I’ve been sick on and off over the last 6 weeks or so meaning I’ve not had much chance to get up and go for a walk, feeling better (knee pain aside), so on my break decided to go for a quick walk. I’ve slowed down a bit but every little helps (I did also stop in the shop to get water)

Week 4 since starting Wegovy, moving on to the 0.5mg dose today and I managed to lose 12lbs in the first month.

Started at 417.2lbs, weighed in at 405.2lbs this morning.

As long as I can maintain a similar cadence of weight loss I’ll be happy with 2-3lbs a week.

Week 2 on Wegovy done, so far I’ve lost 6.2lbs on the lowest dose (0.25mg).

Jab 3 tomorrow, I’d be happy with losing 3lbs-4lbs a week rather than losing too much at once as it’s more sustainable

We’ll see how the next week goes

So after a couple of months of being ill on and off and just genuinely struggling with the weight loss, I’ve given it much consideration and have decided to try one of the weight loss injections (Wegovy) to try and help me get to the next step

Getting delivered today so will likely start it Monday

Weighed in this morning at 404.2lbs. That means I’ve now lost:

- 92lbs from my heaviest weight
- 75.4lbs since I started in September
- 43.8lbs since 1st January

I’m 5.2lbs from my next goal (399lbs as I wanted to get back under 400lbs) and 8lbs from the 100lbs milestone

I’ve officially hit 40lbs lost since January 1st (took a bit longer than planned but finally got here)

Other totals:

- 88.4lbs down from my heaviest weight
- 71.2lbs lower since September last year
- 17.8% of my body weight lost from my heaviest

When I look at it like that, it seems unreal

The last 2 weeks I let myself go, I was burned out with work and fell back into some bad habits (takeaways too often, not exercising etc) weighed myself and I’d gained 10lbs.

This week I’m off work so I weighed myself this morning and I’ve lost that 10lbs again. Time to get back on it

Actually remembered to weigh in on time this week and weighed in at 411.2lbs. Managed a 3.8lbs loss this past week. That means

- 85lbs lost from my heaviest
- 68.4lbs since September
- 36.8lbs lost since January

My next goal is getting closer, only 12.2lbs to go

Weigh in completed, it’s been 11 days since the last one, but I’ve lost another 1.4lbs and now I’m at 415lbs on the nose. That’s 64.6lbs lost since 1st September and 33lbs since 1st January this year

Progress is starting to slow down but I just need to keep up with what I’ve been doing

Need to get around to weighing in again. Work has been hectic for the last 2 weeks or so

I’m still on call until Monday so will try and weigh in either tomorrow or Monday and the latest then it’s back on track again

Slowly working my way up. First time in a while on Wednesday I went for a walk on my lunch break

Yesterday my watch didn’t register the first part of my walk so made sure to do it manually today.

Everything aches but I plan on keeping on and increasing the distance as much as possible

I find it difficult to exercise too much due to pain but when I was in the office yesterday I decided to go for a little walk, would up walking a mile on my lunch break. Woke up early this morning, went for another walk, went a bit further than planned for a 1.5 mile walk. Let’s see how far I can go

Weighed in this morning, another 1.8lbs lost

That puts me on:

- 80.2lbs from my heaviest
- 63.2lbs since September 1st last year
- 31.6lbs for 2025

Normally I avoid weighing in too regularly but jumped on the scale this morning and we’re back on track, and not just with the 0.4lbs I’d put on, but a much more significant 1.8lbs lost

61.4lbs since September and 29.8lbs since 1st January

Missed most of last week as I wasn’t feeling too good, had a small gain of 0.4lbs in a week which is my first gain. That still puts me at my last goal of 420lbs.

We go again, back to the grind and the number will go down again

As someone who loves chocolate, Easter is one of the harder times of the year, trying to avoid the temptation everywhere is hard, but so far I’ve managed it.

I even have an Easter egg that was given to me on Friday sat here sealed looking at me

Weighed in this morning and I’ve hit my current target, I’m also slightly ahead of scheduled too as I expected to hit 60lbs at the end of the month.

- 60lbs since September
- 19lbs from my new goal

Forgot to post my weigh in last week (which was a 1.2lbs loss) but this week I’ve maintained and I’m the same weight. Still 21.2lbs down this year.

This is the first weigh in where I’ve maintained so will give it one more week, if the same happens then it’ll be time to change things up

Following a death in the family I’ve had a rough 2 weeks so hadn’t really been watching my diet or even bothering to weigh in as my head just wasn’t in it, but this morning I’m ready to get back on the horse, weighed in this morning and I’m another 0.6lbs down. Not the biggest loss but still a loss

As of today I’ve lost a total of 48.4lbs since September, and 17.2lbs since January 1st

That next goal of 60lbs is not too far away, I can already see it in the distance #weightloss

My final end goal is fluid, I want to lose as much as is physical possible, but my first major goal is 100lbs and when I hit that, that goal moves, but I’ve set myself smaller goals
