growing up the way I did (rural, working class) and seeing the way military recruiters preyed on my friends and family obviously colors my opinion here, but if we’re serious about organizing and liberating the poor and working class, veterans are gonna be a necessary part of that.

vets are certainly not all MAGA or Republican or whatever. like a lot of people, half the kids I grew up with and at least one cousin joined up because we’re from a poor and working class rural area with no industry or educational opportunities, wtf else were they gonna do

At the risk of sounding like a boomer what is wrong with kids 😭 I just got trapped where I walk the dogs because this group of teenagers were using the fence we have to go home through as a jungle gym and just kept laughing saying they were keeping me from going through

Finally got pulled over for my registration/inspection that expired in August 🤡 got my registration taken care of but now I’m scrambling for an inspection before I drive to the coast on Saturday 😭

I’m so blown away by the girl missing in the DR because I, personally, can’t imagine leaving my drunk friend alone with a random guy in a foreign country, then not reporting her missing for 12 hours and going on an excursion in the meantime. I’m genuinely baffled/horrified
