Trying (and often failing) to curate a social internet experience that doesn't make me upset or full of dread about the world. Always striving for kindness.

AI art = stolen art ❤️
The level of vigilance required for a pedestrian not to be hit in a marked crosswalk when it's their turn to cross is too damn high.

The number of times I've been almost hit while a driver turns right and then they get mad at ME for daring to cross the road when I'm instructed to.

I do not like AI on Mac
I do not like AI in Zoom
I don’t want AI in my room
I do not want ChatGPT —
please stop, AI, and leave me be!
I don’t want AI here, or there;
I don’t want AI anywhere!

I do not want AI in Slack. I do not want AI in Google. I do not want AI on Facebook. I do not want AI in documents or spreadsheets. I do not want AI in Adobe Acrobat. I do not want AI in Zoom. Its wild to me that in 2025 PlayStation still doesn't support Bluetooth audio devices.

Say what you want about Nintendo's in-touch-ness, at least I can use any Bluetooth headphones I want with my switch. Not so on my $600+ PS5

These days when the UCP resorts to everything from book banning to coal mining, it's so so important that we have meaningful, respectful conversations with the more conservative folks in our lives.

It's hard not to be outraged by the outrageous, but we can't defeat this government alone.

Hi funicular friends!
Just a warning we are headed into a funicular-free week as it will be down for annual, routine maintenance June 9 - 15.
Plan your routes accordingly!

Here’s Myth #3 in our 8-part series busting talking points used to stir division. “Medical freedom” and “parental rights” are being weaponized — but the facts tell a different story.

Sometimes wonderful, truly magical moments happen on public transit in Edmonton, like when a guy came onto the LRT a few weeks ago and just started playing his accordion 🪗 🚈

An interesting disparity between car travel and bike travel is the quality of map data.

Google maps can be absolutely wild about what it marks as a bike lane and what kind of lane it thinks it is. Makes planning a first-time route much more of a research chore than it is for driving somewhere new.

Can we stop legitimizing this separation talk? Most Albertans, even the Conservative ones, want nothing to do with separation. The treaties also make the whole idea a non-starter, something a lot of the speculative news coverage seems to miss.

It's given way too much time, thought, and attention.

The situation with political bots on TikTok is so ridiculous that I think the only advisable thing to do is ignore/block/report accounts spreading misinformation there

I understand the desire to comment and try to debunk false claims, but it's exactly what they want: more engagement & attention

Let it just sit for a minute that the United States of America, at the direction of its president, imposed tariffs on basically the entire world and those tariffs were pseudo-randomly generated by ChatGPT...

Oh and those tariffs include uninhabited islands too...

Just a quick reminder with the election coming up that Liberal is not always the strategic anti-con vote.

Make sure to check the polling for your riding. I don't love the strategic voting that FPTP pushes us into, but if you're making your decision that way its important to know your options
