The Perihelion Shawl is the most intricate piece I’ve designed to date. The bulk of the design work occurred over the last couple of years but my original shawl swatch was made over five years ago! I was so worried I’d mess up a good beginning I set it aside for a while.

A lot of people saw the tree of life in this one. While this particular shawl does not evolve in that direction you’ve all inspired me to play with some new ideas with this as a starting point!

TIL about block lists. All I did was search “block list” and it’s super easy to subscribe to whatever you may be interested in not being exposed to.

I’ve been trying to avoid the necessity, but I will be implementing a small price increase for many of my designs at the beginning of March to adjust for my rising costs. Inflation is the worst. 😢

My Summer Rain Shawl is one of my favorite knits. I love the texture of the lace with the twisted stitches and the added weight of the beads. And that gradient yarn from @thebluebrick.bsky.social!
