This is precisely where I started second-guessing my original plan for this shawl. I ripped it back to this point and went back to the drawing board. I am pleased with the result although it took me longer than I’d hoped. I do apologize for making you wait so long!

This is probably my least favorite progress shot. The stitches were rather crowded on the cable and I had trouble photographing from an angle I liked. But it’s still fun to see the difference!

The Perihelion Shawl is the most intricate piece I’ve designed to date. The bulk of the design work occurred over the last couple of years but my original shawl swatch was made over five years ago! I was so worried I’d mess up a good beginning I set it aside for a while.

I’ve been trying to avoid the necessity, but I will be implementing a small price increase for many of my designs at the beginning of March to adjust for my rising costs. Inflation is the worst. 😢
