The show The Pitt is sooo good! Its on Hulu or Prime. Last night the episode showed a woman delivering a baby, like ALLLL of it 😳 i called my mom today to apologize to her for taking so long. She was in labor with me for 24 hrs!

I'm brand new to Bluesky, still learning how it all works. I'm a fiber artist, usually working with upcycled fabric scraps. I've been stitching my feelings lately, and this is my latest embroidery project - Sunbonnet Sue, Days of Rage collection. It's inspired by the 1930's Sunbonnet Sue designs.

Yes I feel fear. I don’t move thru the world in the same way as before. But I am not going anywhere. This has hardened my resolve to do what I can even in this climate to support women and marginalized ppl.

This is why I am so disappointed and sad. I naively thought America was better than this.
And yes I know the economy hugely factors into this, the jobs, the DNC got their messaging wrong, etc.. but still I had higher hopes, however misplaced, in America.

This election made it crystal clear that Georgia actually truly proxied America. We are a racist country with little regard for women, a country built by slaves and immigrants, and we want to keep that status quo at all cost. People of color know this, and this election just made it undeniable.

I want to share my grief…I hope this is a safe place to do so.
I just want to share that growing up in Georgia most of my life, (I left as soon as I could), I genuinely thought the racism I dealt with in Georgia was just a Georgia and a few shit pockets of the US thing.
