Since #Trump knows he will lose the #EpsteinFiles vote big time with lots of #trumplicans voting against him, he is now reversing himself so he can later point and say they did what he wanted. But of course if he really did want the files released, he could do it without a vote.

Why is #Trump trying so hard to run away from the #EpsteinFiles and prevent them from being released. Is it because he is up to his neck in this pedophile ring? While he may have not participated, time will tell, he certainly knew and turned a blind eye or lived vicariously through Epstein.

i think this is key. taking the deal would amount to taking the blame. it would turn a clear political victory into an unambiguous defeat.
If the Dems blink after all of this, for a deal that all but ensures no ACA subsidies in 2026 anyway, then what was the purpose of letting the shutdown go for 40 days in the first place?

The longer the #trumpshutdown goes on and the longer #speakerjohnson keeps the house closed, the more I start believing that the shutdown isn't about the healthcare but about closing the government in order to delay the releasing of the #EpsteinFiles.

#America has had a #socialist streak for many decades through programs like #SocialSecurity, #Medicare, #police, #firefighters, etc. (And you don't see ordinary Americans advocating abolishing those programs.)

When it comes to the #governmentshutdown , I am of two minds. On one hand, I want the Democrats to give the #Trumplicans exactly what they want and let the mayhem ensue. Maybe when the people feel how they are being screwed over then maybe they will finally realize the reality.

Just watched #HowardLutnick give an interview where he dropped the dime on #DonaldTrump & #Epstein. He recalled the visit to Epstein's house where he vowed afterwards never to have anything to do with him because of what he saw and was told. And he did not have anything further to do with Epstein.

The US is a democratic, capitalistic system with a percentage of socialism (Medicare,VA, SS, public ed, fire and police departments, etc.) mixed in. Buy very recently with #Trump and the #MAGA party implementing #project2025, we now see this country becoming more socialistic and fascist than ever.

It's amazing how many "conservatives" and #maga people are disservicing #CharlieKirk and his stand on #FreeSpeech. He died because he was exercising what he believed in. And now the #trumplicans are falling over themselves to go after free speech and embrace #CancelCulture like there is no tomorrow.

At the same time the Prime Minister of England fires their ambassador because of emails of him being sympathetic to the child rapist #JeffreyEpstein, the United States has as president Epstein's closet friend of 10 years. Also his administration is in the middle of a cover-up of the #EpsteinFiles .
