Revelation I just had: Arin, being the obvious representation of us, the Ninjago fans, makes even more sense with this. Arin is a kid who grew up with the ninja, slowly becoming more and more disappointed in his heroes. He is quite literally OG fans who fell out of Ninjago because of its changes
Seeing this scene made me so happy man. They did it. They actually did it. They followed through with Arin turning the ninja away in such a compelling way, taking a massive risk in the process, but it payed off so well. Dragons Rising season 2 you are forever my goat
