Why do we have money for Argentina while our own people lose their health care? How does this make us great?

Absolutely time for new blood. Platner would NEVER!
Maine’s two U.S. senators were closely involved in negotiations over the weekend to end the longest federal government shutdown in history, resulting in the proposal that passed the Senate late Monday night and will likely restore government funding in a few days.
Maine Sens. Angus King, Susan Collins played key roles in crafting a deal to break the impasse
The Senate passed the legislation late Monday night, likely leading to the end of the longest shutdown in U.S. history with a few days.

New in PN: Cue the rebellion

"The unfortunate conclusion to the shutdown is going to fuel a rebellion within the Democratic Party, one that has already begun but will only get stronger. And despite all the justified disgust now being expressed at Dems, in the long run it will be good for the party"
Cue the rebellion
The Democratic base is enraged at their party's capitulation — and that's a good thing.

Does Fetterman get along with literally any Democrat?

The dude has spent the last year extending grace, forgiveness, and praise for literal fascists — but he’s bringing up beef with Shapiro and Kenyatta years after the fact.

Fetterman’s new memoir details why he and Josh Shapiro no longer speak
“I sincerely wish him the best. He is a credit to the state and may one day be a credit to the country," Fetterman wrote. "Even if we no longer speak."

Oh, and Schumer already put a target on his own back by NEVER endorsing Mamdani--or even saying he voted for him.

All toll, there's more than enough reasons for Schumer to lose his Leadership position.

The word on the street is Schumer orchestrated
the capitulation--because he felt that it was the best way out of a fight he didn't believe Dems could win.

Schumer got the #HatefulEight to publicly take the fall, since they are not up for re-election--and each one got some unknown goodies.

I dropped off Virginia Giuffre’s memoir for Speaker Johnson. If he actually reads it, maybe he’ll finally release the Epstein Files and stop covering for the powerful men who abused her.

Justice for Virginia and the hundreds of other victims is long overdue.

ICYMI...ouch!
Kim Kardashian’s new tv legal drama All’s Fair was panned as brain dead. Yet Trump’s DoJ drama is worse. Kim as a lawyer in a thong suit is more believable than Lindsey Halligan as an independent top prosecutor. Judges should toss her vindictive cases - and leave the bad lawyers to trashy tv.
