Writing advice: it's okay to be lazy sometimes. You don't need to bend over backwards to justify every detail and/or trope in your world. You're allowed to use shorthand for elements of your story that need to be conveyed but don't really matter. Your main character can be an orphan. It's okay.

Yass queen, this will become a best seller that gets picked up by Hollywood and adapted for Broadway and everyone will love it and you. You only need to slip down to reality during the last few edits, and then when you send it out
