I find it interesting that Canada never developed a SNAP like system (or maybe did but hasn’t had it of a while)

The media elites don't want you to know that immigrants out earn Canadians by a substantial margin, including the 2021 cohort

One thing I've found counter intuitive is that weaker economic conditions seem to mean taller tower rather than the other way around in Vancouver.

One of my favourite things is when a young conservative writes an angry screed against boomers most of the comments will be conservative boomers going #NotAllBoomers since that’s the primary audience for political writing in this country.

It’s pretty frustrating that basically no one talking about the Cowichan decision wants to engage with the substance that they were promised a reserve but didn’t get one. I guess Governor James Douglas went Woke so it doesn’t count or something.

All the energy seems to have been taken out of the racist housing subreddits and now it's going to the racist job subreddits

I find it funny that the anti-immigration people like to cite Denmark as their success story when their youth unemployment is higher than Canada's

It’s ridiculous the we only push the “make the bus run faster” button a few hour every weekday so that the rest of the time like 3 people can get parking.

It’s funny how the real wages are growing Mikal Skuterud has to keep throwing even more “adjustments” at the time series to make his point.

Greece is underrated in terms of food. You can go pretty much anywhere and get good food for a decent price.

What I find interesting about this is that it's unclear whether the people in the CPC are aware that the TFWP
1. Is the main way for skilled workers to get visas for places like Amazon
2. Isn't a significant source of low skill foreign labour
Or they're just don't care.

TIL (and am probably the last one to do so) cooking cup sizes vary across the world and you need to adjust the recipe accordingly.

Canada: 1 cup = 250ml
US: 1 cup = 236ml
Japan: 1 cup = 200ml
UK Imperial = 284ml
