Trump steps back from the brink on Greenland. But the damage has been done.
The president’s effort to acquire Greenland, even with the threat of force off the table, has changed the way allies see the U.S.

I've got a lovely picture of me with Rep. Jefferies ... at the time I was so sure his biggest fan being Nancy Pelosi was a good bet he'd be a leader we could count on when the chips were down. The chips are down. Whip those votes.
Whip the vote, Hakeem!!!!! #ICE
NEWS: While Hakeem Jeffries has announced he's opposing the DHS/ICE funding bill tomorrow, his team is not whipping the vote. Several frontliners are expected to vote yes. There's a difference in leadership between personal vote decisions & unifying the caucus.

DJT: Dr. Doom without the genius part ... just the evil.
Trump on NATO:

"The problem with NATO is that we'll be there for them 100% but I'm not sure that they'd be there for us, if we gave them the call".

We did get the call on 9/11. 26 NATO members sent troops to defend the US. Hundreds died doing so. It was the only time Article 5 has been activated.

Canadian PM Mark Carney described the current moment as a “breaking of the world order, the end of a pleasant fiction and the beginning of a brutal reality where the geopolitics of the great powers is not subject to any constraint.”

And you thought I was exaggerating the Dr. Doom thing?

The bullying goes global for DJT's new world order. Note to Dr. Doom ... don't count the good guys out.
Emboldened by his ousting of Maduro and seizing control of Venezuela's oil, Trump has talked of acting against Cuba and Colombia as well as Iran. He has not ruled out the use of the U.S. military to snatch Greenland, which has an American military base, Reuters reported.

I do not for one minute believe, that in creating ICE, President George W Bush intended to include stomping on the freedoms of expression guaranteed by the US Constitution. And definitely wouldn't be trying to deport folks based upon race, color and/or creed. Mayor Mamdani's statement is truth.
Mamdani: "I am in support of abolishing ICE. What we see is an entity that has no interest in fulfilling its stated reason to exist. We're seeing a government agency that is supposed to be enforcing some kind of immigration law, but instead what it's doing is terrorizing people."
