I do think social media of many forms has worn itself down. I logged onto FB again after 9 months or so because in a rural area, businesses publish only there. It’s like a huge rolling obituary.

First I had to donate all my Fetterman stuff, then throw the Biden gear in the basement, and now that cool bsky t-shirt. This place is a huge disappointment.
Glad BlueSky did this. When I saw Patton Oswalt saying Megyn Kelly should be fed into a woodchipper feet first for defending raping children based on what age she thinks is okay, I thought, "yes, comedian Patton Oswalt is going to, in real life, feed Megyn Kelly into a woodchipper feet first."

You know, boomers are not a monolithic bunch of old folks out to screw millennials. A lot of them are greeters at Walmart or working at Home Depot. You’re mad about them not moving? where should they go? Making a bunch of old folks out to be evil is just promoting dehumanization of our elder folks.

As an 🏳️🌈 person, I have to say the right seems to wholly overestimate how much adoration exists for former president Clinton. Also as a person whose PhD focused on aspects of American policing, there are so so may more. He also was my generation’s first in your face liar. Drag him. I don’t care.

All this could be true, but the Dems do not have a clue how to talk to the base. They are paternalistic and every pivot feels like a shiv to the kidneys. They way they did Biden was that, even if he shouldn’t have run to begin with. Why are we even parsing what happened? We should know.
1. On Monday, I was angry with the eight Democrats, under Chuck Schumer’s direction*, who voted with the Republicans to reopen the federal government. I called them traitors who betrayed their party by surrendering before the fight was over.

The thing is that I often support @fetterman.senate.gov when he focuses on legislation. But he also takes these dramatically hardline positions that just cut half his constituents out of a conversation he won’t have. I don’t need purity tests, but he’s become angry and whiny. I miss the old John.

The Traitor8 have been out there all day trying to explain it all, and they sound like the quislings they are. Tim Kaine has been especially belligerent and “fake news” to legitimate questions. They should never enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep.

I still somehow am shocked when white men treat me like I’m old and stupid. It actually takes me some reflection to realize that’s what’s going on.
