On Friday I passed my PhD viva! 🥳🎓
The whole experience has been an incredible journey of highs, lows and everything in between

The PhD hasn’t just taught me how to be a researcher; it’s opened up many opportunities and experiences that have had a great impact on me personally & professionally

Blog for @connect.scot

AS my PhD research explored, children gain most when parents and professionals (in this case educators) form a supportive partnership. This blog explores how partnerships can provide a route to understanding children together.

Not been here for a while - 9 months ago I submitted my first draft PhD thesis. Now on the countdown to my Viva having finished my research and report on all my work.

Very grateful for all the support I have received in getting to this point.

Exciting times 😊

Submitted my 1st draft full thesis yesterday, feels really surreal! Ten chapters outlining three years of work, exploring the role and value of parents/carers living in Scotland, as they interact with professionals about their 3-5yr old child's health, wellbeing and development.
I am quite excited to share this blog as my first ever post on #Bluesky. I am currently writing up my thesis, and about to submit my first draft. My study explored the role and value of parents/carers as they interact with professionals re their child's health & wellbeing
New CHP blog! @deedeedelaney.bsky.social provides an insight into Scottish law and policy surrounding parenthood and children. Her research finds a disconnect between policy and law in Scotland, and lived experiences of parents and access to support.
