The idea that Keir Starmer could lose his premiership due to Epstein connections to Mandelson whilst Trump and others in the US remain unscathed is absolutely bizarre. The fact that the Tories and media are so gleeful in the calls for him to resign tell their own story!

@martinlewis.moneysavingexpert.com Tembo just told me about some proposed changes to how LISAs will work. Notably removing the penalty for withdrawing. But changing the bonus income from monthly to when buying a house, I was using my LISA as an extra saving for retirement is it now less appealing?

Yep, been doing this since Halo and it’s annoying when I can’t change it

45 minutes is going to be a tough squeeze with your current format unless ITV have given you more episodes to spread your topics across

Well keep it under your hat please, nobody likes spoilers or a spoilerer 🤣

Happy New Year Martin. I had a bit of good news this week with my car insurance renewal being £120 lower than last year, I don’t think I can remember having a renewal offer lower than the original quote. Any reason why, is it because the car commission question has now been answered?

Ah that’s awesome. Is there any setting that you wish had a system that you could run / adapt into a campaign? My mate ran an Indiana Jones / Tomb Raider game for us years ago, I think you would revel in that. I’m way behind watching and listening, is Jane the only person left not to have been a GM?
December 23, 2025 at 1:49 AM
Nice, how do you find GMing? I’ve done it a few times and find it fun for one session but I just find it too stressful trying to plan ahead whilst maintaining the quality I establish in the first session. So I just stick to playing now 🤣

Are you saying he is a better batter than Alan Mullally?
December 4, 2025 at 3:32 PM
I was wondering about this one too. I figure it may end up like the Help to Buy ISA it will continue to exist but just for those that had it. I have mine open just for retirement as well
December 4, 2025 at 3:29 PM
Oh yes, sorry I definitely was agreeing with you, I was listing it as another excuse people give for sleeping on the job 🤣

When the biggest clash over the budget is not the contents of the budget but the inferences made before the budget was delivered that just proves that the Tories know they can’t criticise the contents without disenfranchising a huge group of voters

Badenoch and Starmer clash over Budget at PMQs
The chancellor continues to face accusations that she misled the public about the nation's finances ahead of last week's Budget.

I worked with someone that people regularly suspected was falling asleep in meetings or at their desk. When asked about it they stated that they were one of those people that solved problems / thought about solutions with their eyes closed

I loved that in a recent episode VCM called out the New York Times rip off 🤣
I haven’t played any of those but I’ve had What Remains of Edith Finch? on my list for ages!
I couldn’t remember how long Twelve Minutes took to truly complete but I think I did it in one night. Great list much appreciated

I often have this argument with my parents, “oh the budget is going to tax you more”, and? When I respond saying oh that’ll mean more to invest in public services that will help everyone, they look miffed.
November 28, 2025 at 1:07 AM
I wish they would just overhaul the tax bands and make them truly progressive with incremental increases throughout rather than the fiscal cliffs at each threshold. It would also allow them to stretch into the current “additional” band much more

Yeah the EU regulations stopped their craziness implementing any terrible policies, it was like a big safety net that ensured a stable status quo pervaded that protected all the important stuff

Would be interesting to know if those studios have any provisions in their contracts from when they entered EA to see if they have any independence to seek an exit. And if the new owners care to sell the IP / studios they don’t see in their future. The obvious cashcow for them is more sports washing

This episode had my wife and I howling with laughter, the single funniest episode of UK Taskmaster in a while, poor Reece
September 27, 2025 at 10:14 PM
They were great on Taskmaster, and on Guy Montgomery’s Guy Mont-Spelling Bee too - I so wish that show was easier to watch in the UK and I hope he brings it to the UK too such a funny show

This is the game that I would consider buying a PS5 for - but I really should finish GoT first 🤣
