Spoke to BBC on how climate politics is now about who captures + controls the economic benefits of new energy industries.

The future of international cooperation is away from COP.

It will be economic & security deals between individual countries.

Do UN climate talks have a point any more?
The US president is notably absent from these UN climate talks, as are other world leaders, all of which prompts questions about the purpose of COP today.

🪲 MG Leonard is a wonder! She spoke for one hour non-stop about her love for reading, beetles and ancient Egypt.

Both my kids have loved her different series so far and I can't wait to read her new book to my Year 3s!

Tell me we have an issue with access to nutritious food, without telling me we have an issue with access to nutritious food...

"The number of diabetes-related lower-limb amputations increased
by 68% since 2009."
🚀 We've just launched our latest Broken Plate report!

It highlights the fact too many people are struggling to access healthy food and much of the food marketed to us is damaging our health and the planet.

That resonates...
Hourly wage progression is negatively associated with being a mother, being older, and having less education.

Among low-income workers, family circumstances can place real constraints on people’s willingness or ability to change job or progress in work.

Interesting to get the break down of the survey I mentioned in my previous post.

😅 Turns out Primary teachers would overwhelmingly forego a 20% pay rise if it meant they could retain a full-time teaching assistant!
Thanks to @heymrshallahan.bsky.social for sharing with me.

I forgot to answer the #TeacherTapp survey yesterday...

BUT very surprised at this result.

53% of teachers who responded would rather a 20% pay rise than having a TA 🤯

Our year group TA is essential to supporting the bottom 20%. Especially w/ 31 kids in the class and high levels of SEND and EAL.
