My friend Steve lived in the apartment right above the St Mark's Bar & Grill in 81-82. So many memories of sitting on his fire escape smoking up and people watching between trips downstairs to the bar. My old haunt International Bar at 7th St I believe shows up too. youtu.be/MKLVmBOOqVU

46 years ago I was 16, had lied and connived to escape the parents, and was at my first ever concert tripping balls. The first time #TheClash ever played in NYC. Tripping balls. Unfortunately I didn’t realize how amazing it was to see Bo Diddley until way later.

I think a huge reason why Chappell Roan is such a sensation is because she’s not a nepo baby. She has raw talent, refined performance art skills, and she cares about poor, working, and low income people. A nepo baby would never.

It’s so weird watching tv and all the cop and border security shows make it clear that being nervous about being aggressively interrogated by armed and uniformed agents of the state is a legitimate reason for those same agents to suspect nefarious activities.
