Vulkan is really the “Karen” of programming. It’s like “You said you were going to do this in subpass 0 but you did it in subpass 1. I’ve rendered the frame but I’m going to crash out and I want to speak to the manager.”

If any media want the raw emails from unity and our invoices, email me at dean.hall@rocketwerkz.com. I can’t post them unredacted here as they contain the names of employees of another company. But once you see the names, it becomes obvious how easy it is to google search

Posted by @deanhall.bsky.social on reddit, anyone using #Unity needs to take a serious look at what is going on. This is a direct threat to hundreds (thousands?) of studios and tens of thousands of indie developers with games built on Unity.

Just helped my parents try and activate Office and got stuck in captcha “help us beat the robots” hell for THREE HOURS. The plot of Dune doesn’t seem so far fetched now

When something embarrassing happens. Just imagine you are on your countries version of Air Force one. You are talking with the prime minister, your head of state. You gesture wildly and break a glass from your tray. The prime minister insists on picking up the pieces. This happened. I did this

When using crowdfunding for your try to avoid giving away steam keys. Their reviews will not count to the aggregate, and show as "free product". These are your key supporters. If explained well, your super fans will understand. These are the most mobilizable, many will buy the game again to support

If you are launching your game on steam, please don't give away keys to your biggest supporters. On your launch day, have a roster of at least ten people read to buy and review the game immediately. Cosmoteer did this brilliantly, but i'm still seeing many give away keys to their biggest supporters
