New NOVA. Season 53 opens with the story of how asteroids might have initiated life on Earth. It's compelling, and evidence for the model is presented.

Nevertheless, I have questions...

I scoped out a new shooting location while the auroral numbers looked promising. Forty minutes out of town in a bit of a canyon. Last night’s show stayed low, but I didn’t come away completely empty-handed.

Delighted to see folks putting "The Crosswords of Phyz" to use in their science courses. With semester exams taking place, 'tis the season to put these tools to use. Physics, chemistry, biology, and astronomy: there are puzzles for all of them.

Some scholars believe local TV news broadcasts intend to scare you so you’ll stay tuned in.

Last night, mine warned viewers that 15% of November traffic deaths in MT occur Thanksgiving Week. “Stay safe out there!”

Should I be frightened or encouraged this week? Justify your answer.

Did I spend the past few days crafting a question set to accompany episode 1 of The American Revolution? All 112 minutes? One hundred questions? Priced at: Free?
