I'm at the "all I can do is laugh else I'd cry" point with the discourse. but more of a Joker laugh, so crying might actually be healthier.
Been seeing a few people outright claim that studies that outline specific reasons why Large Language Models won't lead to "Artificial General Intelligence" are "whitewashing creationism", because apparently showing that a task isn't feasible somehow affirms the existence of a divine soul

I can admit bluesky-as-twitter-clone was likely a fine starting point (I'd hoped for a more drastic departure, but onboarding initial waves of new users migrating from the other site with familiar ux prob made sense)
