Well after ten yrs of service, I've finally left the Labour Party. I've put up with a lot of shite from the party over the years, but if the official line of the Minister for Equalities is that my partner can be barred from a public toilet without it being discrimination, then I'm out

The BiS poll shows that faced with a choice between a socially just independent Scottish republic or a UK which protects inherited wealth & privilege while public services crumble & Farage is waiting in the wings, Scots overwhelmingly opt for indy.

Makes me sad re-reading this amazing letter from ex-Watergate Special Prosecutor Archibald Cox sent to high school seniors in 1994 after they asked him “What should Americans learn from Watergate?” 20 years later in ‘94.
His answer is remarkable—unfortunately things didn’t work out so well in 2024.
