Dozens of journalists were assaulted by law enforcement in Los Angeles this weekend.

The press were just doing their job -- a sacred one explicitly protected by law.

Press rights orgs will follow up collectively tomorrow.

Tonight, I emailed evidence to local/state/federal officials. My sign off:

The updated forecast for the Napa River calls for major flooding later tonight, just shy of the all-time record for the city of Napa. If this holds the river would exceed the 97' flood that basically cut off transpo in Napa Valley, prior to current flood control measures. #cawx

No surprise given the pelting of rain overnight, the Napa River is expected to reach monitor stage across #napavalley by midnight Tuesday PST.

We’ll all read this headline and want to feel smug, but the real loser here is not AI — it’s the people in communities where local journalism is so hobbled the newsroom owners and managers take up absurd approaches that end up doing further harm to the community

Protect nonprofit journalism from presidential power grabs:
🚨ACTION NEEDED: H.R. 9495 includes a poison pill provision that is a serious threat to nonprofits. This bill would remove due process and hand over considerable power to future administrations.

Join us in urging Congress to vote NO on H.R. 9495!
