The Govt refuses to consider no bailout of water companies and public ownership of them.
The only way to change this is a huge lobbying of MPs.
Take advice from The Sewage Network Campaign and @feargalsharkey.bsky.social @ashsmith43.bsky.social @henleymermaids.bsky.social @soswhitstable.bsky.social
Such a pleasure to meet up with indefatigable irrepressible campaigners for clean water @feargalsharkey.bsky.social and Prof Becky Malby of @cleanilkley.bsky.social at the briefing to MPs by the Sewage Campaign Network.
This is a campaign that HAS to be successful, for everyone's wellbeing.

Almost 40 years on and women are still being murdered, raped, oppressed and attacked by men - some of them the very ones who should be protecting us, like police officers. And we are still being told we should be more careful. Why has society normalised violence against women?

In 1978, women at a public meeting in West Yorkshire were told by police that we should observe a curfew to avoid attack by the Yorkshire Ripper. I pointed out that then we were sitting ducks, waiting in our homes for him to break in. The curfew should have been for men.

I want to love farmers for producing our food. But it's hard when so much pollution is caused by them - and they get off so lightly.

What’s happening at these off-the-record meetings? Are they getting in the way of action on the sewage scandal?
