October 18 reminded the Commander-in-Cruelty, his cabinet of yobs, and his cowardly confederates in the Congress that we prefer an admittedly messy democracy to a shambolic autocracy.

Because this administration thinks everyone believes the rules only matter when it helps “your side” (like they do), they are counting on Comey’s unpopularity to normalize this.

Don’t let it. Whatever you think of him or his actions in the past, etc. this indictment is dangerous and an outrage.

Aber resigned as United States attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia on January 20, 2025. Did some other event on that date have anything to do with her resignation?

What’s next? Repealing the Emancipation Proclamation?
The Trump administration has removed a longstanding directive from the civil rights era that explicitly prohibited federal contractors from allowing segregated facilities.

Trump’s extortion and interference in Columbia University is disgusting. Columbia’s concession to Trump’s demands is disappointing.
Columbia University agreed on Friday to make changes to its protest rules, campus security policies and Middle Eastern studies department in a remarkable concession to the Trump administration, which had moved to cut $400 million in federal funding to the university.

I wonder what names Putin will give to his American lapdogs in the White Doghouse. I wonder whether any country will ever trust the Russian States of America again.

Musk and DOGE are closing local Social Security offices, making it hard for people with disabilities to access help.

Frank Bisignano, former FISERV CEO, is Trump’s nominee for commissioner of Social Security.

He is likely to expand this.

The first thought I had when I read the news of the tragic accident at DCA was that Trump will find a way to blame Biden for it. A couple of hours later Trump was on TV—blaming Biden and Pete Buttigieg and DEI for the accident. The vindictive POTUS can’t stop himself from making a fool of himself.

The bureaucracy in Washington DC has become encumbered with too many job titles and descriptions. It is way past time to streamline them. Beginning at noon on January 20, 2025 there will be only one job title for a government worker: Running Dog Lackey to a Narcissistic Felon.

These days it feels as though almost everything I care about is about to be rent asunder by recklessly greedy plutocrats. I try to keep a positive mentality, but there are moments in which I descend into unattractive ill will.
