Tens of thousands killed in the past month. If our country had any sense of the responsibility of world leadership, or even interest in the human condition, we’d be on the ground. Having gutted USAID and having far right nationalists at the helm, we just watch; and by our absence, encourage.

Never in the history of the US has any president openly and repeatedly called for the investigation, arrest & prosecution of his political opponents. While many continue to shrug these things off and normalize them, I will never stop pointing out that this is what autocrats do.

Sen. Paul is right. These are murders.
Rand Paul on Trump's strikes on boats: "I would call them extrajudicial killings. This is akin to what China does, what Iran does with drug dealers -- they summarily execute people without presenting evidence to the public. So it's wrong."

I didn’t plan to break news. I just looked out the window.
I was flying out of DCA and saw the East Wing being demolished. I took a photo, posted it, and by the time I landed, it was on CNN.
It's wild how fast one moment can move — and how something so ordinary can make the world pay attention.
