I wish the opera community would listen and learn about navigating a performance career while *also* contending with the logistical and physical burdens of navigating disability, never mind the ableism that greets you at every step.

A bad director’s interference detracts from an actor’s performance. A good director shows an actor the dimensions of the sandbox and lets them play. A great director anchors and supports an actor, coaxing out a performance better than that actor knew was in them. Ella is a GREAT director. Hire her.
