CEO of STV Studios. Once made TV shows, now wear a suit and pretend to be a grown-up. Mostly diverted by Arsenal, TV and politics. All views are my own.
I was lucky enough to work with Alan, he was one of the very best and someone you always wanted to do great work for…his support and approval meant something special to all those lucky enough to get to know him.

Fantastic to see STV Studios delivering so well in turbulent times. Thanks as ever should go to the amazing group of freelancers we worked with across the year, without whom we wouldn’t be able to make any of our shows.

You can't moan that BBC presenters earn too much money and then moan when they leave to earn more money and whine that the BBC should have paid them more to keep them. Make your minds up, eh. www.thetimes.com/article/16c1...

An important point here from @lewisgoodall.com. It’s important to realise that the Trump bandwagon wasn’t unstoppable. It can be equally true that his win was impressive, terrifying but nevertheless totally avoidable. Did America let democracy down or did the Democrats let America down…discuss.
Trump’s vote share is now at 49.9% with some votes still being counted. Looks like his margin over Harris will be around 1.5%- the third smallest winning margin since 1888.

Trump’s win was solid in the popular vote and electoral college. But it was not a landslide and it was not overwhelming.

Circled back to the other place to gather a list of people I follow over there and was greeted by a racist tweet aimed at the British Chinese community…my kids are half Chinese…no looking back now.

Well done Jake!
Couldn't see an equivalent starter pack, so I brought together the media watchers (journalists, brands, commentators) I respect and admire on both sides of the Atlantic. Will update as others migrate to Bluesky. go.bsky.app/Jz2bwjA

It seems nice here so far. 10 minutes in and I’ve not had anything weird happen…quite the thing on a social media platform.
