My conversation with the man behind The Rewildlife YouTube channel, Jack Morley. Learn about practical rewilding, communication about nature and much more. 🌍🦤
How can we communicate conservation issues without alienating the very people we need to reach? And what happens when a creative professional decides to transform four fields in Wicklow into a biodiversity haven while documenting every step for others to follow?

Two of the five cheapest cars for sale in Ireland are full EVs. If charged at home, those EVs cost a fraction to run compared to the petrol equivalent.

Driving 50 km/day, the EV costs less than €1 to charge on the cheapest night rate versus €5 for petrol, saving nearly €1,500 each year.

Oh, but here's a great Nature write-up that I used as a source on the Three Mile Island issue. Again, it's not easy to fit big conversations into tweets, but the climate issues we face require a serious reckoning with surging energy demands to prop up bubble economies like generative AI. Cheers!
Nuclear power for AI: what it will take to reopen Three Mile Island safely
As Microsoft strikes a deal to restart a reactor at the notorious power station, Nature talks to nuclear specialists about the unprecedented process.

I highly recommend the episode, along with legacy media coverage of massive accounting issues around data centre emissions (e.g., this piece by the Guardian). I wrote on the technical challenges (paired with PR hype cycle) around the Three Mile resurrection project, too, but that's behind paywall.
Data center emissions likely 662% higher than big tech claims. Can it keep up the ruse?
Emissions from in-house data centers of Google, Microsoft, Meta and Apple may be 7.62 times higher than official figures
