5. The movement is not just continuing to spread into previously unrepresented parts of the country, but also maintaining its geographic reach: Protests occurred in at least 20 percent of US counties for four consecutive months in 2025 — something we never observed during Trump’s first term.

1. May 4, 1886: The Haymarket Incident.
I do not remember learning about the history of the Haymarket Incident or about organized labor when I was in high school. I learned about it and multiple other stories of class conflict when I read "Lies My Teacher Told Me"…

Buck Woods tells German-speaking Nazis what he thinks of them while performing in France. Somehow feels relevant these days.

On April 30, 2016, Father Daniel Berrigan died. He was a Jesuit priest and pacifist whose protest of the Vietnam War (burning draft cards) landed him on the FBI’s “Most Wanted” list and, in 1970, in prison.

REPORTER: Amazon will soon display a number next to the price of each product that shows how much the Trump tariffs are adding. Isn't that a perfect demonstration that it's the American consumer who is paying for these policies?

Today is Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day, and marks the day in 1915 when the Ottoman Empire began rounding up Armenian leaders—scientists, clergy, politicians, and teachers—and deporting them.

The photo below from wikipedia shows people waiting for "deportation" which turned into a massacre.
