But where did the idea come from that the feds should pay (anything) but the provinces can spend (everything). Provinces have income tax too - if they want to go their own way, let 'em pay for it themselves.

The Constitution is old, and parts of it are out of date. In 1867 a lot of important issues needed to be handled locally. Now with instantaneous communication and virtually instantaneous transportation, not so much.

I think transitioning to and living as trans can put a lot of strain on a person. But I imagine it's less than living every day as someone you're convinced you're not. I don't think "trans" is the only factor.
What I do think tho is she shouldn't have had unfettered access to guns.
