Father, husband, lifelong Democrat, trained garden assassin (I kill the weeds), retired lawyer, astrologer, sometime composer. I live in DC with the love of my life.
Chaos is his middle name
It is telling how even high quality outlets like the America's Quarterly podcast often don't think through scenarios where Trump's violent incompetence might cause an electoral collapse of the US Right or even more chaos in Venezuela that affect his ability to shape outcomes
Whether it is analysis of Trump or Xi's supposed bids for world domination there is so much geopolitical hype that ignores the domestic weakness of great powers

As I’ve said before, Trump is the perfect example of what happens when white trash wins the lottery.

If the National Guard is really in D.C. to protect federal

I thought that foreign aid was the most evil thing in the world.
Absolutely outrageous!! 😡

What I love most about this Nobel Peace Prize recipient is she is the antithesis of Orangehead.

She is at great personal risk standing up to an authoritarian.

He IS an authoritarian.

The best thing about mail voting is not the convenience.

It’s that it eliminates the possibility of voter intimidation at the polling place or the effects of closing or changing polling places at the last minute.

That’s why Trump wants it banned. Vote by mail makes it harder to cheat.

I wish I lived in a country where Republicans had at least half the balls of E. Jean Carroll, Stormy Daniels, Christine Blasey Ford, Anita Hill, or the Epstein survivors.

Reminder: At the start of his legal career, RFK Jr. failed the bar, was forced out as a D.A., and got arrested for heroin. Without the Kennedy name, that story ends there.

The decimation of foreign aid sets a new standard for short sighted actions fueled by ignorance and reflexive xenophobia.

It leaves a soft power vacuum which China will be delighted to fill.

It is a massive own goal.
NEW: First, diplomats warned what will happen if we halt aid to the rest of world.

Now they are telling the Trump Administration what is actually happening: death, crime, sexual violence, trafficking.

THIS!
The same people who say Adriana Smith should stay hooked up to machines so a fetus can gestate inside her dead body for 7 months because “it’s a sacrifice a mother would make” can’t fathom a mother crossing the border with her children in hopes of providing a better life for them.
