When will Dems put together serious messaging on the fact that Republicans make the economy worse every time they're in power? I get that the median voter is 90% vibes based but c'mon guys. You can do *something* with this right?

I mean the median US voter has the memory of a goldfish so we'll see lol
lol, great, so we're now subsidizing Argentine ranchers at the expense of American ranchers. Seems politically sustainable, no questions from me.

I'm not much of one for media literacy discourse but it's funny that Thiel just like fundamentally misunderstands all of my favorite pieces of media.

I'm watching Halo and one of the funniest things is the guy who's just driving a suburban around an alien planet. Really is an indictment of automakers that in 500 years SUV design is still basically the same

Honestly I think Nixon's only qualm would be that he wasn't the president doing all the fascism
Durbin: "What has taken place since January 20, 2025, would make even President Nixon recoil. This is your legacy, AG Bondi."

Free speech? In this economy?
September 19, 2025 at 2:39 PM
It's becoming increasingly clear that this is pretty much the case for any ideological position held by the American right
All political tribes can be hypocritical but the right's current level of hypocrisy on free speech is deliberate. It's an assertion of power not a blindspot.

I think it's Good in general to point out the hypocrisy of the Free Speech Gang right now, it's also good to remember that paradoxes aren't really a problem to fascists. They're probably a natural part of fascist thought; I wrote about it in one of my first papers

David Casciola, The Synthetico-Paradoxical Character of Fascism: Can Art Disrupt the Fascist Project? - PhilPapers
In this paper, I interrogate the question of how aesthetics might be used in terms of an antifascist project. The exposition includes two main steps. First, drawing on the work of ...

Wow it's almost like school voucher programs are scams
Arizona, the model for voucher programs across the country, spent so much money paying private schoolers’ tuition that it faced hundreds of millions in budget cuts to critical state programs and projects last year.

School Vouchers Were Supposed to Save Taxpayer Money. Instead They Blew a Massive Hole in Arizona’s Budget.

It's telling that these dorks presume the Democratic Party belongs to them. And also, if Mamdani did run on a Dem Soc ticket this guy would be one of the first to critique him as a spoiler candidate!
NY Democratic congressman Tom Suozzi says "Zohran Mamdani and every other Democratic Socialist should create their own party because I don't want that in my party."
September 3, 2025 at 4:43 PM
And this should be the moderate position!
The next Democratic president should declare that the National Emergencies Act and Article II of the Constitution allow him to:

•admit D.C. and Puerto Rico as states
•abolish ICE
•grant citizenship to any immigrant
•disband the 5th Circuit
•expand the Supreme Court

Seriously: Why the hell not?
