Does anyone know if blue sky has a subscription or notification button? This place so far is a hodgepodge of reporters and internet friends, and so forth and I would like to really be able to just focus on the s*** posting and stuff from the people I love not so much the reporters and whatn6

I am 38 today, Had to miss my twice weekly PT today because I got a foot of snow, and it's single digits with one hell of a wind chill. I'm no mood to celebrate either- some of these E.O's are bound to affect my work life, and who knows what happens to publicly funded disability programs

Looking for a designer to update my currently existing largely dormant, Squarespace five blog and migrated to the latest version of Squarespace, or whatever is recommended by a professional designer type. I will pay you. I'm thinking of the launch around April or sooner.

Meta still has some utility in groups, in local events and restaurants and concerts and stuff I can look up And as a Rolodex to keep in peripheral contact with folks that otherwise wouldn't.

I text and email plenty. But sometimes people forget to text me back etc and it' it's necessarily simpler

I'm glad to have some way to connect with the people with whom I've used the internet to forge connections and The creatives I admire, but I just don't know how desire I have for social media as a platform of expression.

Dad has become an enthusiastic fan of "Blue Bloods. I pop in, refer to Tom Selleck's Frank Regan "Commissioner Batman." and lampoon the abuses. I also still think @laurahudson.bsky.social 's article in SLate from 2014. A great writer, Laura, in a bygone era of the Internet.

This, kids, is called leaning into the form; using what digitally designed- for mobile-scrolling- comics offer the creators and the reader.

Also, any time Preeti can channel her inner Looney Toon, she will
If I'm writing a vertical comic, the characters WILL be falling into a hole so there's movement down as you scroll lol I love it every time. It's one of my favorite things asl;dfkna

Carola Borelli (art) & Carlos Lopez (colors) knocked it out of the freakin park, couldn't be happier😭

(xspoilers!)

My wheelchair van is, waiting for more parts and repair on its essential ramp parts. I won't get it back until August 23rd, maybe The bus stop that was close enough to my house for paratransit was cut years ago. Applications for other grant-supported options are in, but my summer is fucked

Preeti "Parker Luck" Chhibber strikes again. Buy her Spider-man books. They're funny and heartfelt.
Moved to a coffee shop to try and restart my creative brain. It worked and I’ve crossed 1k words today but I’m also being attacked by a mosquito who is hellbent on drinking all my blood apparently. So the universe remains in balance, is what I am saying.

. I have been without my wheelchair van - my sole mode of non-medical transport for about 6 weeks now. The ramp stopped working. The dealer "discovered" parts that should have been replaced pre-sale, and sent it to a repair shop - who could not fix it. Now the dealer mechanic gets another crack.
