With the 2026 Ottawa municipal election already on the radar with mayoral candidates throwing their hats into the ring, I'm starting this thread of issues that I hope will become topics of discussion.

Sutcliffe on RTO: "We want to see our downtown thriving and prosperous."

I mean, did this guy even live in Ottawa before the pandemic? Centretown was always dead after 4pm.

It's not about forcing people out of their communities to buy a sandwich and clog the streets with car traffic.

Several years ago I spoke with city staff about implementing a grit/salt mixture along the canal where, in the past, no salt was added due to environmental regs.

Conditions have improved DRASTICALLY 🥳 and think that this could be implemented elsewhere in #Ottawa to reduce salt use.

Honestly, with all the ice out there today, I felt biking was the safest and best way to get to work.

-At construction zones, when their lane ends, motorists would have to hop onto the adjacent train tracks
