I may delete this because it’s a bit spicy but it shouldn’t be lost on us that games being turned into TV is essentially harvesting the stories written by those who don’t have union representation or healthcare with WGA by those that do. Our stories are good enough for TV but the writers aren’t?

i find this image so fascinating. it is both a literal example of authoritarianism but also a second-hand reproduction of the aesthetics of other authoritarian states. it's like a simulacra of authoritarianism whose purpose is to attempt to make the simulacra real.

Currently in Chicago with the kids and my parents. Yesterday was crazy busy, and I'm hoping today is a little more relaxed.
Kids went on their first plane flight. They did great until the landing. The pressure was Little much for one of them and they had a bit of an ear ache until we landed.
