I was lucky enough to spot this Fisher last week.
As is the case photographing these guys, I had about two seconds to get a shot off before it disappeared into the woods for good. Not a lot of time to compose or get low haha. Take what you can get! #wildlife #photography #fisher #mammal #nature

Female Pileated Woodpecker after getting caught in the rain.
Pileated Woodpeckers don’t usually return to the previous year’s nesting cavity, leaving it available to another species such as Wood Ducks.
