I've never needed a game system that explicitly supports non-combat solutions or roleplay-heavy campaigns. DnD is not my favorite system, but it's a great entry point for folks curious about #ttrpgs. Beyond that--GMs, we have the power to decide how to run the game and when dice rolls are necessary.

During yesterday's DnD game, the PCs
1) saved a robot girl infused with nanomachines from overheating after a malicious failsafe was activated while removing a tracking device from her, with help from dockworkers who provided a cart full of ice that was used to preserve a shipload of fish

Eww, I only slept maybe 3 hours last night. lnsomnia really sucks. I have untreated sleep apnea and have to go thru another sleep study with my new (admittedly better) insurance so I can acquire a cpap. At this point, I've become anemic, so getting the care I need has become a priority.

This weekend I will be running my D&D game in which the PCs are planning to straight up Luigi a corrupt politician. The consensus was originally unsure, but then... well...
Personally, I love that we can use our hobby for catharsis. :) It's healthier than the alternatives.

Sometimes I just sit in the car, not driving anywhere, not doing anything, just stuck. Like I've run out of gas, except it's mental gas and not gas for the car.

I had a chat with a friend who is a professor at my alma mater, who said administrators there are still doing their best to support all students and faculty while making surface changes in light of the orders coming down from POTUS. It's not ideal, but it's not nothing.

Today I yelled (safely in my car where no one could hear me, lol) at the construction on the road to my therapist appt at 1-freakin'-pm.
So I was late to my appt again. Fortunately, my therapist is super forgiving about my time blindness, given that ADHD is a big part of why I'm seeing her.
