I got into a pinhole camera sales group after reading about #maskpark, a voyeurism ring that involves at least 100k Chinese users on Telegram.

so while there are specific reasons for targeting this group, this is also a consequence of building a machine of mass repression and censorship *and* an internal political atmosphere that demands 'action' by officials lest they be accused of 'formalism'
