Can I say something… I feel like the “BookTok is for positivity !!!! :) not politics!” people don’t even like reading, they like the endorphins they get from reading romance/smut
(obviously nothing wrong with that at all but like, being a reader is about engaging with the text, right???)

There’s another debate happening about Rhysand’s race. I would just like to point out that Rhysand has the exact same skin tone description as Tamlin and nobody insists he’s brown. SJM sucks at writing POC from every angle and the fandom is doing most of the “diversity” heavy lifting on her behalf
