I was in a queue at a local cafe (T Wells) and overheard a lady behind me saying "Labour have well and truly done one on us so I suppose I'll have to vote for that awful Farage man" - I'm not sure I like the look of any of this, but I don't suppose any of us are well practised at optimism these days

Getting the train in the UK has been a very expensive form of self-harm for a long time, but with the addition of the nation now being palpably more unwell today's trip is feeling more like the Cassandra Crossing!
